JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) — Two brothers from Queens are utilizing their inventive skills to create a line of greeting playing cards, with characters that appear like them and their household.

Ever since Chase and Cruze Brown had been sufficiently old to carry a crayon, it was clear their drawings had been distinctive.

“Their teachers would send back their work and circle things … their nursery school teacher would send back, gifted, see little signs that there was something special there,” mom Nahdi Brown mentioned.

Over the years, their sketch books crammed the basement of their house in Jamaica, Queens. Then their dad, Rick Brown, had an thought.

“We have to do something with this, this is not normal to have all this art sitting here tucked under a desk for the rest of our lives,” he mentioned.

The household brainstormed, did the analysis and simply launched ‘2 Brown Boys,’ a line of greeting playing cards showcasing the brothers’ artwork.

“When kids see themselves as those powerful figures, I think that’s important, it really shows the potential and what they could do,” Cruze Brown mentioned.

The sequence is a mixture of drawings from their archives together with new materials.

The boys, now 15 and 17 years previous, had been self-taught and give attention to creating various characters.

When they had been youngsters, they are saying they did not see many figures who regarded like them.

“I would like draw myself, white cause cartoons, I was reflecting what I saw and I don’t want other kids to have to go through that,” Chase Brown mentioned.

The brothers mentioned they are not aggressive and often collaborate greater than compete.

“We’re multi-faceted and it’s important for the world to see that especially the young people,” Nahdi Brown mentioned.
