Punjab Police on Wednesday busted a gang smuggling medicine by drones with the arrest of three of its members together with 2kg of heroin, arms and ammunition in Ferozepur on Wednesday.

Senior superintendent of police Kanwardeep Kaur stated that the crime investigation company (CIA) in-charge in Ferozepur acquired a tip-off that Gurmanpreet Singh of Fazilka, Lovepreet Singh of Ferozepur and Vansh of Gandhi Nagar in Ferozepur city have been concerned in smuggling the contraband by drones with the assistance of anti-national parts throughout the border.
The smugglers had unlawful weapons and medicines when the police raided the home of Lovepreet Singh.
The police recovered 2kg of heroin, 25 lakh drug cash, a pistol, {a magazine} with 12 cartridges and a .30-bore pistol with seven cartridges and a automotive from the accused.
“The three have confessed to having smuggled the drugs and weapons with drones through the Indo-Pak border in assistance with connections in Pakistan,” the SSP stated.
