Three members of a Jalandhar-based household, together with a two-year-old woman, had been killed when the Honda Amaze automobile they had been touring in hit a culvert on the Jalandhar-Pathankot freeway close to Tanda industrial point of interest on Monday.

The household was coming back from Chintpurni after paying obeisance on the shrine when the accident occurred.

Kanwar Aggarwal, 31, who was driving the automobile, sustained critical accidents, whereas his spouse Mehak, 28, mom Renu, 53, and daughter Varinda, 2, died on the spot.

Passers-by hastened Aggarwal to a close-by hospital.

Police mentioned Aggarwal is suspected to have dozed off and rammed the automobile into the culvert.

Tanda deputy superintendent of police Raj Kumar mentioned {that a} case was registered beneath Section 174 of CrPC.
