An eight-year-old lady and the driving force of a faculty bus had been killed when a tipper truck collided with it close to Sheikh Chak village on the Tarn Taran-Goindwal Sahib highway on Saturday.

The incident occurred at 7.15am when the bus was taking 15 kids to the Mai Bhago International School at Usma village.
Police mentioned Siratpal Kaur of Miglani village died on the spot, whereas one other scholar, Joravar Singh, 6, was admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Multi-Super Specialty Hospital in Tarn Taran in a critical situation.
The bus driver was recognized as Randhir Singh of Rashiana village.
The police mentioned the truck driver managed to flee from the spot and a search was on for him.
The influence was so extreme that the truck and the bus overturned after colliding.
According to the college administration, truck drivers use hyperlink highway at Usma village to keep away from paying toll tax on the Amritsar-Bathinda freeway.
