Leader of opposition in Punjab meeting, Partap Singh Bajwa, on Saturday mentioned the excessive courtroom advanced constructed by Le Corbusier in Chandigarh must be given to the state of Punjab as Chandigarh was primarily constructed to be its capital.

Reacting to a information report in Hindustan Times, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) chief mentioned that Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar in a letter written to Union residence minister Amit Shah has talked about that his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann had raised the difficulty of a separate excessive courtroom for Punjab in New Chandigarh which falls within the state of Punjab.

Mann, as per Khattar’s letter, raised this situation within the convention of chief ministers and chief justices of the excessive courtroom on April 30, 2022.

The leader of opposition said such statements weakened Punjab’s claim over Chandigarh. “It is a dangerous situation as the central government has continuously interfered with the affairs of Punjab. First, it amended the rules of appointment to the Bhakra Beas Management Board and followed with a change to the service conditions of the employees of Chandigarh administration, aligning it with the central service rules. The Center has also indicated its interest in interfering with the administration of Panjab University, a move opposed unanimously by the Punjab assembly which passed a resolution only two days ago,” he added.

Bajwa mentioned what made this example much more complicated is the truth that the Punjab meeting on April 1 had handed a decision in the course of the first session below the AAP dispensation, calling for the fast switch of Chandigarh to Punjab. “If the CM is unable to defend the pursuits of the state, then he should resign. Punjab should not be led by a puppet chief minister subservient to the AAP management in Delhi. The sample of actions by the central authorities makes it clear that its final aim is the completion of the SYL and switch of Punjab’s waters to Haryana. If the Punjab authorities doesn’t get its act collectively now, the pursuits of Punjab might be irrevocably broken,” Bajwa mentioned.
