Compensation towards land acquired for the Ambala ring highway mission can be disbursed to land house owners from subsequent week, officers of the district administration stated on Thursday.

“NHAI has already released 150 crore for land compensation. Further process for disbursement will be initiated by the district revenue officer,” stated Kuldeep Chand, an official from the technical department of NHAI’s Ambala zone workplace.

DRO Captain Vinod Sharma stated the disbursement course of beneath a pilot mission will start after Independence Day. “Details, including revenue records and ownership, are being prepared. Details of six of the 23 villages where land has been acquired are ready and we will start disbursing the compensation from August 16,” he added.

Coming up beneath the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase 1, the 39-km ring highway will join 5 nationwide highways in Ambala district. Estimated to value 1,500 crore, it was accepted by the Haryana authorities in June final 12 months.

It will assist ease visitors congestion within the twin Ambala cities by serving as a substitute route for commuters headed to Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

As per the plan, the ring highway will begin close to Saddopur village on NH-152 (Ambala-Chandigarh freeway) and can hyperlink with NH-72 (Ambala-Roorkee freeway, now NH 344) at Handesra village.

Similarly, the ring highway from NH-72 will join with NH-444A (Ambala-Saha freeway) at Khudda Kalan and additional be linked with NH-44 (Delhi-Amritsar freeway or GT Road) at Mohra village.

The GT Road will get related with NH-65 (Ambala-Hisar freeway) at Balana village in Ambala City.

Home minister and Ambala Cantt MLA Anil Vij had earlier stated the state authorities will bear 50% of the mission value.

On this, Chand stated, “The state government is expected to release its share of funds soon.”

On the development half, mission director Virender Singh stated the tender had been floated and can be opened in September.
