Congress rebel-turned Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Jagdeep ‘Goldy’ Kamboj defeated Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal within the Akali stronghold of Jalalabad constituency by 30,374 votes.
Of the whole 1,70,734 votes polled, Kamboj obtained a formidable 90,308 votes whereas Sukhbir polled 59,934 votes.
