Earlier, on Tuesday, the portals of Kedarnath Dham have been opened and the primary puja was carried out within the title of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The puja was accomplished by Rawal Bhimashankar Linga and Pujari Shivling and Dharmacharyas.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday stated each potential effort has been made to make sure the Char Dham Yatra is straightforward and protected for devotees. “Every possible effort has been made to make the Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand easy and safe. On the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, flowers have been showered on the devotees by helicopter. Chief Minister Dhami provided prayers at Kedarnath and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the nation and the state when the doorways of Kedarnath Dham have been opened.

The chief minister additionally welcomed the devotees, who had arrived to have darshan of Baba Kedar.

He then participated in a Bhandara (meals disbursal programme) organised by the Mukhya Sevak on the temple premises.
