A three-match ODI series was played between the Indian women’s cricket team and the Bangladesh women’s team. The third match of this series which was played at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium was quite exciting. The series ended in a 1-1 draw as the result of the match ended in a tie. In the third match of the series, Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur suffered a mistake. In fact, Harmanpreet Kaur looked very angry with the decision of the umpire in this match. In the second innings of the match, when the umpire gave Harmanpreet Kaur out LBW, she angrily hit the stumps with her bat and had a heated argument with the umpire before going back to the dugout. “He will be fined 50 per cent of his match fee for the on-field incident (breaking the wicket) while he will be fined 25 per cent of his match fee for the way he represented himself at the presentation ceremony,” the official told Cricbuzz. Harmanpreet received two demerit points for showing disagreement with the on-field umpire’s decision and one demerit point for taking a jibe at the umpires during the post-match presentation ceremony, reports Cricbuzz. Now he has a total of three demerit points. It is believed that the ICC can also ban him for one Test match or two white ball matches.

Harmanpreet Kaur was angry with umpiring

A last-over thriller between India and Bangladesh women ended with the score tied but no super over was bowled and the series tied at 1-1. In the press conference of the last match, Harmanpreet did not mince her words and accused the umpires of being biased towards the home team. Harmanpreet said that a lot was learned from this game. In the middle we scored a few runs but when we were batting, we controlled the game very well but as I mentioned earlier there was some poor umpiring and we are really disappointed with some of the decisions given by the umpires.
