Mexico City:
Nineteen suspected gang members and 10 army personnel died throughout occasions surrounding the arrest of Mexican drug cartel chief Ovidio Guzman within the northern state of Sinaloa, Defense Minister Luis Cresencio Sandoval mentioned on Friday.
Mexican safety forces on Thursday captured Guzman, a son of jailed kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, triggering a wave of violence throughout Sinaloa.
Twenty-one different individuals had been arrested through the operations, Mr Sandoval informed a daily information convention. He mentioned there have been no stories of any civilian deaths.
