A seven-year-old boy not too long ago had his finger damaged by a chess-playing robotic throughout a event in Moscow, Russia. The incident came about on July 19 on the Moscow Chess Open event. The Vice President of the Chess Federation of Russia, Sergey Smagin,  knowledgeable that the robotic broke the boy’s finger when the kid went for a swift transfer with out ready for the mandatory time for the machine to finish its motion, as per Newsweek.

A video from contained in the venue is now doing rounds on social media. It exhibits the kid shifting his piece earlier than the robotic completed shifting its personal. Moments later, the boy seems to have his finger trapped by the robotic’s hand. However, bystanders intervene shortly after and handle to free the kid from the clutches of the robotic arm.

As per the outlet, the seven-year-old boy has been recognized as Christopher. He is among the many 30 strongest chess gamers in Moscow aged as much as 9 years outdated. Following the incident, his finger was fractured and scratched. 

Mr Smagin defined that the seven-year-old apparently violated the protection protocols and tried to make a transfer whereas it was the robotic’s flip to play. “This is an extremely rare case, the first in my memory,” he stated. “The boy is all right. They put a plaster cast on the finger to heal faster. Meanwhile, as per the Russian media outlet, RT, the kid’s dad and mom have determined to contact the Moscow prosecutor’s workplace. But the officers have acknowledged that the chess federation will type it out and attempt to assist in any means they’ll.
