CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — The Chester County School District will quickly obtain a fleet of electrical college buses.

Chester is one in all 16 South Carolina college districts who’re receiving funding for electric-powered buses, which is aside of a federal grant.

The state as a complete has been awarded greater than $50 million to buy the electrical buses, which is part of the Clean School Bus Program rebate competitors.

The rebate quantity Chester is receiving totals $3.1 million for eight buses. They are anticipated to be delivered by October 2024.
