Four individuals, together with two officers of the training division, had been arrested on Tuesday for allegedly embezzling 10.01 lakh obtained below the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).
A spokesperson of the Punjab Vigilance Bureau mentioned the accused had been recognized as Rakesh Gupta, presently posted as principal of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Bhagowal in Gurdaspur; Rampal, now posted as principal of Government Senior Secondary School Kathlor in Pathankot and two others recognized as Jatinder Kumar and Mukesh Mahajan.
During investigation of this case, it was discovered that Rakesh and Rampal, whereas being posted on the authorities in-service coaching middle in Gurdaspur, had obtained the grant below RMSA for the centre. But each of them in connivance with Jatinder and Mukesh ready bogus payments of pretend corporations to usurp funds, mentioned the spokesperson. The accused transferred the federal government cash to their private financial institution accounts, thus misappropriating the funds.
