The incident occurred close to Ravidas Chowk in Jalandhar round 1am when the minister and his spouse had been returning residence after attending a perform.

Deputy commissioner of police Jagmohan Singh mentioned the children had been drunk and had been making a ruckus on the street. When the minister’s safety automobile tried to overhaul their black luxurious automotive, at first they did not give passage and later parked their automobile in the midst of the street.

“The minister’s safety personnel confronted them and an argument ensued. They hurled abuses and threw stones on the escort automobile,” the DCP mentioned.

After the minister intervened, the accused gave passage to his motorcade however chased his safety autos until his residence, the place they indulged in unruly habits once more.

At this, the minister known as up commissioner of police Kuldeep Singh Chahal, who rushed senior officers to the spot.

DCP Jagmohan Singh mentioned the accused had been taken into custody.

Of the 4 accused, three children, Jatin, Ashish Verma and Rishu, are from Jalandhar and Nakul is from Kapurthala.

A case was registered beneath Sections 353 (assault or legal drive to discourage public servant from discharge of his obligation) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code.
