Heavy rain triggered a landslide that left 55 sheep and goats useless at Gronda village in Holi tehsil of Chamba district on Friday.

State Disaster Management Authority director Sudesh Mokta stated that the sheep and goats belonging to a few residents of the village had been swept away and buried beneath the particles.

Heavy rain led to flooding within the village and left a number of homes inundated.

In one other incident, two folks had been killed and one was injured when their automobile hit a hillside in Pandoh in Mandi district. The injured occupant was admitted to the Zonal Hospital in Mandi.

The meteorological division has forecast rain and snow within the state until September 26.

Shimla MeT middle director Surender Paul stated a yellow alert has been issued for lightning and thunderstorm in some components of the state until September 25.
