A success-and-run within the metropolis on Thursday claimed a Patiala resident’s life. The deceased, recognized as Preet Saini, was a scholar of a non-public faculty in Landran. He was killed as a rushing automobile allegedly hit his scooter.

As per police, the deceased is a resident of Ghannaur village in Patiala and was a scholar of BTech. A case has been registered on the grievance of his hostel roommate, Akshay.

In his grievance, Akshay alleged that Preet was going to Mohali on his Honda Activa and as he reached the primary street, a recklessly pushed automobile coming from Landran aspect hit his car.

Preet was rushed to a non-public hospital and succumbed to the accidents throughout therapy. A case has been registered underneath sections 304-A (inflicting loss of life by negligence) and 279 (rash driving or driving on a public means) of the Indian Penal Code towards an unidentified automobile driver at Sohana police station.
