Deputy superintendent of police (DSP-1) Charanjiv Lamba stated a girl residing alone in a rented flat within the colony is being questioned within the matter.

“The police control room was alerted around 8am about a book belonging to Dera Sacha Sauda lying in the passage. After our team took custody of the text, another call flashed that a few other religious texts were lying near the spot. As these turned out to be a few pages of Gutka Sahib and cover of another Sikh religious book, the local gurdwara management was informed to take safe custody,” stated the DSP.

He stated there was no CCTV digicam put in across the spot.

Lamba stated the lady in query has stored books of varied religions at her flat on the tenth ground of the flats. Her husband is said to be a physician within the US and kids reside in New Zealand. Her members of the family are additionally being contacted.

“In preliminary questioning, the lady claims the books could have fallen from her flat by accident. She has been staying there for 3 years and residents of the identical tower do not know a lot about her. She retains to herself and doesn’t socialize with colony residents,” he added.
