Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday instructed a bunch of moms whose sons are preventing in Ukraine that he shares the ache of those that have misplaced relations within the battle.

The assembly came about forward of Mother’s Day, which Russia will mark on Sunday, and amid mounting anger from Russian troopers’ households after a chaotic navy draft.

“I want you to know: I personally and the entire leadership of the country share this pain,” Vladimir Putin instructed the ladies at his residence close to Moscow.

“We understand that nothing can replace the loss of a son, a child,” he mentioned in his opening remarks which lasted just some minutes.

“I do not dare say any formal, standard things related to expressing condolences,” he mentioned.

He added that some information studies about Moscow’s offensive in Ukraine couldn’t be trusted.

“There is a lot of fake news, deceit and lies,” he mentioned.

Vladimir Putin, who has launched laws that successfully bans any public criticism of the offensive in Ukraine, instructed the ladies they need to be cautious of what they learn on the web.

“It is clear that life is more complex than what is shown on our TV screens or even on the internet, nothing can be trusted there,” he mentioned.

Earlier on Friday, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov mentioned the remainder of the dialogue can be proven “depending on the conversation.”

State tv aired pictures of the Russian chief sitting at a desk with 17 moms, within the first such assembly since Vladimir Putin despatched troops to Ukraine on February 24.

“I completely understand that for you, and for many other women in Russia whose sons are currently in fighting zones, this will not be a festive time,” the 70-year-old mentioned, referring to Mother’s Day.

Videos of Russian moms and kinfolk involved about males preventing in Ukraine have in current months flooded Russian social media.
