A 24-year-old girl was discovered lifeless below mysterious circumstances at a home close to Dhuri Lines in Atam Nagar on Thursday night.

ACP (Civil Lines) Harish Behal stated the sufferer, alongside along with her husband, was residing in a rented migrant quarter for the previous two years. The couple hails from Nepal and have two sons aged two years and 6 months. The husband works at a neighborhood restaurant, he added.

Station home officer Gurshinder Kaur stated the lady’s head bore critical damage marks. “It would be examined during the autopsy whether the fatal wound was inflicted due to an attack or was a natural injury,” she added.

Her husband stated she tripped whereas working within the kitchen. She was taken to a personal nursing dwelling, the place she was declared lifeless, he added. He stated he introduced her physique again and was planning to cremate it on Friday.

However, his neighbors suspected foul play and alerted the police. They claimed that Ganesh returned from hospital and locked himself inside his home. The couple’s elder son was additionally not at dwelling when the incident occurred.

ACP Behal stated additional motion will probably be taken after receiving the post-mortem report.
