The award shall be handed out on the Ms Foundation’s annual gala on 16 May at New York City’s Ziegfeld Ballroom, as a part of its Fiftieth-anniversary celebration, based on a report by the Independent.

Ms Foundation, a Brooklyn-based group works to carry consideration to the true challenges dealing with girls, particularly girls of color and low-income girls who’re residing in poverty. The Foundation introduced that Meghan Markle shall be receiving the award for her “global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls,” New York Post reported.
