AMRITSAR: Member of Parliament from Amritsar Gurjeet Singh Aujla on Tuesday staged a protest outdoors the regional passport workplace, Amritsar, alleging corruption in issuance of passports, development of appointment dates and detached angle of passport authorities in the direction of candidates.

Aujla alleged that he and the Amritsar deputy commissioner contacted the regional passport officer, NK Shil, however he “declined” to hear or reply to the official communications.

During earlier regional passport officer’s tenure, tons of of points associated to candidates have been resolved after the intervention of the workplace of the MP.

A memorandum alleging corruption within the regional passport workplace addressed to the minister for exterior affairs was submitted to by means of the deputy commissioner which was obtained by ADC (G) Surinder Singh.

Aujla mentioned an aggressive marketing campaign shall be launched towards the passport authorities involved if they do not mend their methods.
