PHILADELPHIA — It was a troublesome Saturday in Philadelphia with the Phillies and Union each shedding their shot at championships.

But on Sunday, one man lifted spirits and introduced individuals within the metropolis collectively.

His title is Alexander Tominsky, a 31-year-old server at Barclay Prime in Center City.

But now he’s higher generally known as the “Philadelphia Chicken Man.”

For 39 days straight, Tominksy documented himself consuming a rotisserie hen.

He set a aim to eat 40 chickens (after passing his unique aim of 30) and needed town to be a part of the grand finale.

The public invitation to his occasion in South Philly captured a variety of consideration on social media.

It mentioned:

“Come watch me eat an entire rotisserie chicken. November 6th will be the 40th consecutive day that I have eaten an entire rotisserie chicken. 12 o’clock noon. The chicken will be consumed on the abandoned pier near Walmart. This is not a party.”

Hundreds of people that noticed the flyer got here out to help him.

The “Philadelphia Chicken Man” had a makeshift pink carpet and warning tape to maintain individuals again from his desk.

Tominsky defined to Action News what made him need to do that:

“I just felt like it seemed right.”

He went a bit of deeper when speaking to the New York Times.

“Much of the world is in pain, Mr. Tominsky said, so he must do something that brings him pain to make others smile,” the Times wrote.

“Sounds weird,” he advised the newspaper. “But I just felt like I was doing this for a very important reason.”

But do not get your hopes up for Philadelphia’s Chicken Man to begin one other rotisserie run.

“I would never consider doing that again,” Tominsky advised Action News.

He did nonetheless disclose to the New York Times that his subsequent meal can be sushi.
