Five days since farmers laid siege to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) headquarters in Patiala, police on Tuesday resorted to gentle lathicharge to evict them from the gates and arrested their chief Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was on an indefinite quick in assist of their calls for.

Employees resumed work on the PSPCL workplace after the staff, led by inspector basic of police Mukhwinder Singh Chhina and senior superintendent of police Varun Sharma, cleared the protest website round 6am. “The site has been cleared and police have been deployed at all entry and exit gates of PSPCL,” the IG stated.

Earlier, the SSP and the obligation Justice of the Peace met Dallewal however he refused to carry the dharna. The police motion began round 3.30am.
