Hariveer Sharma / Dholpur. Sampau police station of Rajasthan’s Dholpur district has arrested an accused of rape. Police has started questioning the accused arrested from Basai Nawab road in Sampau town. For 2 months, the accused was absconding by dodging the police.

ASI Fateh Singh told that a victim of the police station area filed a case that on May 14, she had gone out to work as a laborer. The daughter was left alone at home. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Sunil, the accused, ambushed from behind and reached the house and took the daughter along by coaxing her. After this he raped her. At the same time, on May 16, 2023, a case was registered against the accused under Section 363, 366 IPC.

The police had arrested the girl after doing careful research at that time. Statement of the girl was recorded under 164 CrPC. In the statements, the girl had told about the incident of rape with herself. The police started searching for the accused by attaching section 376 IPC after getting the girl medical, but the accused was continuously absconding by changing the location and misleading the police.

The ASI said that the local police received information from an informer that the accused was roaming in suspicious condition near the bridge on the Basai Nawab road. On the information of the informer, a police team was formed and sent to the spot. The police team reached the spot and laid siege in a planned manner and nabbed the accused. After arresting the accused, the police has started investigation. The accused is being questioned by the police.
