The district police on Wednesday arrested seven individuals, together with a 21-year-old undergraduate scholar, who had been allegedly a part of the extortion racket run by the jailed gangster Manpreet Singh Manna.

Inspector basic of police (IGP), Bathinda vary, MS Chhina mentioned on Thursday {that a} police staff seized over 20 lakh and recovered 4 weapons from their possession. He mentioned the accused had been a part of the extortion ring.
