Vice-President of India and Panjab University (PU) chancellor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday exhorted college students to remain true to who they’re for they would be the warriors of the nation in 2047 when the nation celebrates 100 years of independence.

Addressing the annual convocation at PU, Dhankhar mentioned: “It would be the younger technology who will take the nation ahead when lots of the older technology will not be there. You should really feel proud to be Indian and Panjab University has the potential to be among the best universities in India.”

He went on to recount the achievements of the college’s alumni and the way they graced the nation’s high positions.

While speaking about Bharti Enterprises vice-chairperson Rakesh Bharti Mittal, who was awarded the Udyog Ratna, he recalled how he was acquainted along with his father who had as soon as instructed him with concern that his sons had wished to pursue one thing in expertise. “The rest is history,” Dhankhar mentioned.
